Notary clerk

Notary clerks carry out preparatory and accompanying work in the notarization of legal transactions in the field of preventive administration of justice. They obtain information, accept notarization orders and prepare meetings. They independently prepare draft deeds, draw up documents such as applications for certificates of inheritance, powers of attorney, affidavits or notarized signatures. As part of their work, they handle most of the correspondence with clients, courts, authorities and banks. They also calculate fees, issue invoices and monitor and book incoming payments.

Notary clerk is a 3-year recognized training occupation in the legal sector (training area liberal professions).
After your training, you will be well qualified and have good career prospects.

Compliance management systems - CMS (e.g. monitoring compliance with regulations and laws using compliance management systems)

Digital land register (e.g. retrieve or update data in the electronic land register)

E-file (e.g. retrieve electronic archive records)

Legal technology (e.g. using software and online services to automate or support legal work processes)

Requirements

Successfully completed school education, ideally secondary school leaving certificate, high school diploma or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences

Interest in legal issues and an independent and precise way of working

Communication talent with very good written and spoken German, an open-minded personality and enjoyment in dealing with people
